Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal since cut among the Caowei period, after expansionand renovation of the Sui, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing generations, and graduallyform a sound system and a well-developed land and sea waters transport network, and oncein history play an important role. Especially in the Ming and Qing, which is a feudaldynasty from gloom to doom, and an important transformation period of the traditionalsurface transport to the modern rail traffic, the Grand Canal became prosperity after a briefclosed-door policy experience brought by the Ming Dynasty during this period,but itdeclined gradually by the end of the Qing Dynasty. The northern section of the Grand Canalis located in Cangzhou, leading to Beijing and Tianjin, and connecting the southern city andKyoto, which has played an important role in the Ming and Qing Dynasty. Also as a basisfor this study, the evolution is mainly research Cangzhou segment canal development in theMing and Qing, and their villages, the layout of the coastal town of impact on economicdevelopment in the evolution of the line as a cultural process, business trade development,for cultural facilities, affecting people living habits, the impact on the area of religiousbelief, religious architecture development and so on. By studying these elements,combining with the relevant definition of cultural lines, explore the value of the GrandCanal and cultural lines Cangzhou segment, including intangible cultural heritage relicsproduced in its development, historical and cultural value and the value of intangiblecultural heritage formed, as well as in history on many functional value. Status andprotection issues were the last section of the canal would Cangzhou related research,including relevant laws, regulations, policies, regulations, protection of historical, etc., andput forward some suggestions protective measures under the Grand Canal World Heritagecontext, in order to better protect the historical and cultural heritage.
