Study On The Interaction Between The River And The Ancient Capital Of Luoyang

There is a very close relationship between the river and the evolution of the city. Water is the most important natural environment elements for human. Water is a prerequisite for the construction of the capital. When site selection of the ancient capital, should handle well the relationship between the city and the water.Contemporary Chinese cities are inherited from the ancient cities, especially the modern cities. The development law of the ancient cities still has influence for the city construction now. The influence of river gives Luoyang the ancient capital, still has the inspiration to today’s Luoyang city planning and construction.In this paper, the period defined in the Xia Dynasty to the Sui and Tang dynasties. Study area for the city of Luoyang historical periods. The subjects were Yi, Luo, Chan, Jian four rivers and Erlitou site,Yanshi mall, Zhou dynasties of luoyang city,the Han and Wei dynasties of luoyang city and the Sui and tang dynasties of luoyang city.This paper based on the outlines of the five ancient capital of Luoyang sites, analysis the relationship between the river and the ancient capital of Luoyang development.
