The Memory Research Of Survivaladvantage And False Memory

The survival advantage effect refers to the individual will have higher quantity of correct memory and false memory while processing the information related to surviving.Past researches focus on the correct memory of the survival advantage effects in different scenarios.In this experiment study,mainly discussed the age,situation and rendering time for correct amount and the influences of the amount of false memory.Including a total of three experiments.Experiment one randomly selected 120 students for the study,using 2(participants:adults vs. Children)×2(words:survival vs. neutral) between-subjects experiment and debating about the interaction effects.Experiment two randomly selected 120 students for the study,using 2(participants:adults vs. Children)×2(scenes:surviving vs. City) between-subjects experiment and debating about the interaction effects.Experiment three randomly selected 240 students for the study,using 2(times:1s vs. 5s) × 4(scenes:video surviving vs. Surviving vs. City vs.Video City) between-subjects experiment and debating about the interaction effects.Integrated three experimental results show that:(1)The survival advantages which based on the correlation of surviving and the scenes are not the same.The survival advantage based on the high survival related phrases only shows increasing of correct memory in children.However,the survival advantage based on scenes show increasing in both the children and adults.(2)The high survival related phrases does not cause significant changes of false memory in children or adults.While grassland survival situation not only increases the false memory in both adults subjects and children,but also make significant higher amount of false memory in adults subjects than that of children.(3)Survival advantage effect is a kind of memory mechanism mainly associated with long-term memory,within no significant impacts in 1 second coding.(4)Video instruments significantly reduced the amount of false memory while not significantly affect the amount of correct memory.
