Digital Research And Development Of The Intangible Cultural Heritage Of Folk Custom Project

Intangible cultural heritage, an important part of human’s cultural resources, is highly dependent on inheriting. However, inheritance of traditional culture has retreated to dangerous negligence by human beings, urging governments to attach importance to cultural sector. They hope to make their intangible cultural heritage understood and recognized by more people through multiple channels such as new media and various techniques such as digitalization, instilling their thoughts and ideas into target regions.This research centers on intangible cultural heritage of Shenzheng manifested in Kaiding Festival in a hope to uncover the cultural traits in the area and promote them by means of digitalized platform.To many people, intangible cultural heritage is antiques or literature preserved in museums and libraries. Contrary to this common perception, it is collective wisdom, of past human experience in surviving, self-developing and nature exploring, filtered through times and featured with continuation of cultural veins. It is meaningful for understanding Shenzheng culture and exploring its history to conduct a research on Kaiding Festival celebrated by Yuer Village located in Shekou of Nanshan District of the city. The author made statistication of and survey on classification of intangible cultural heritage and preservation measures for intangible or approximate intangible cultural heritage taken both at home and abroad so as to find a solution to development and preservation of folklore program.Combining the research methods of anthropology and sociology with experiences in designing related subjects, the author makes effort to explore the preservation of and development of intangible cultural heritage. It is hoped that intangible cultural heritage could invigorate local economic development, attaches a cultural icon to local area and enhances local government’s cultural function instead of remains to be names in record.The author attempts to find a fresh way to promote traditional culture resources by means of well-developed and most popularized technology-interdisciplinary combination between picture book and digitalized platform.Over the past three decades folklore has witnessed drastic development, with folk’s demand becoming increasingly important.It is the recognition of folklore’s immediate influence over people’s real life that makes folklore a subject with due attention and exerts its real function. The value of folklore should be integrated with collective values of citizens so as to reflect its vitality because folklore is a concrete subject about the inheritance and promotion of culture in a certain region.Digitalization-assisted development of intangible cultural heritage equals not only to the promotion of the act of combining traditional cultural with needs of folks at present days, but also to write tradition for future generations.We can have a understanding of the culture and people’s life in a certain area from research on its etiquette-related folk activities and they can be connected to modern life by inheriting the merits of these activities that might be needed in modern life.This research hopefully serves as a reference for future works related to preservation and development of intangible cultural heritage.
