The Revival Of The Rural Reconstruction After The Anti-Japanese War:Research On The West China Experimental District Created By The Chinese Civilians Education Promotion Association

Modern China’s rural reconstruction movement begined in the early 20th century,which indecates the practice of the idea of "Agriculture statehood ".This movement reached its peak in the 1930s,and throughout the Republic of China.The Chinese Civilians Education Promotion Association is one of the leading forces in this movement,which focused on the study of theory and practice of the rural reconstuction at the beginning of Dingxian’s Experiment in 1926.Before the war in 1936,due to the worsing situation,The Chinese Civilians Education Promotion Association begined to move to Changsha,then to Guizhou,and fanally moved to Chongqing.In the relocation process,The Chinese Civilians Education Promotion Association has conducted several rural construction experiments in Hengshan,Dingfan,Xindu.Period the war,under the sufficient condition of rural reconstruction,The Chinese Civilians Education Promotion Association has founded The College of Rural Reconstruction of China,Which aimed to train personnel for the post-war rural reconstruction.After the Anti-Japanese War,The Chinese Civilians Education Promotion Association created an Experimental District named "Babi Experimental Distric"in Sichuan province,fanally it expand into The West China Experimental District.Alhough there are many relevant studies in this filed,there are still some problems need to be resolved,Such as:The theme,content,focal point,methods of The West China Experimental District;The similarities and differences between the different experimental districts;The relationship between the goerment and the The Chinese Civilians Education Promotion Association.Therefore,this paper is based on the previous studies,the newly opened archives in Bishan County and other related historical materials.this paper begins with the review of the history of College of Rural Reconstruction of China and the practice of The West China Experimental District And then gives out a comprehensive evaluation on it.The main content of this paper can be divded into four parts.The first part is the preamble.ln this part,ftrstly,it introduced the topic origins,basis,and reviewed the relevant academic history.Secondly,it indicated the problem,ideas,methods and materials used in this paper.The second part,including the chapter Ⅰ,Chapter Ⅱ.In this part,firstly,it reviewed of the history of College of Rural Reconstruction of China,and summarized Yan Yangchu’s reform idea on the college education.Secondly,it clarified the relationship between the internship district of the College of Rural Reconstruction of China and The West China Experimental District,and the had a detail discuss on the practice of The West China Experimental District.The third part,including Chapter Ⅲ,Chapter Ⅳ,Chapter Ⅴ and Chapter Ⅵ.This part has three main aspects,first is it introduced the organization system;the management rules,and other personnel system;Second is the inspection of the education,economy,hygiene,surveys,self-defense and other content before the liberation war,which is the focus and the core of this paper;Third is the inspection of the historical destiny of The West China Experimental District after the liberation war,and finally give out a picture of the whole process of The West China Experimental District.The fourth part,including Chapter Ⅶ,Chapter Ⅷ.This part can be seen as the end of this paper,which includes two aspects.First is it summarized the various problems during the experiment,and then describe the defects and shortcomings.Second is it re-evalued the The West China Experimental District based on the combination of factors.
