After the May 4th New Culture Movement, the issue of rural construction has increasingly attracted the attention of the mainstream discourse of the society.By the 1930 s and 1940 s,different classes and different political parties carried out the rural construction movement according to their respective ideas and demands. The literary and artistic movement has become an important force that can not be ignored in this unprecedented rural transformation movement. As far as North China is concerned, from 1926 to 1936,Chinese National Promotion Association of the Mass Education, chaired by Yan Yangchu, carried out a ten-year rural construction experiment with Ting Hsien as the experimental district.Among them, the experiment of literature and art education occupies the primary position: first, literature and art is used as a tool to spread knowledge;Second, study and create civilian literature and art needed by the majority of the people. In 1937,Nie Rongzhen was ordered to open up the Shanxi Chahar Hebei border area until the founding of new China, which lasted12 years.During this period,a large number of professional literary and artistic workers and mobilized farmers created a large number of rural literature and art with distinctive themes and diverse genres with the theme of the war of resistance against Japan and production, and carried out a vigorous literary and artistic movement.Although the two movements are connected in time and space, and their contents and forms are quite similar, previous studies usually regarded them as special existence and described them in an independent logical system. In fact, the evolution of rural literature and art,the participation of literary and art movements in rural construction, the practice of literary and art popularization in rural construction and the evaluation of the value of rural literary and art movements from the perspective of acceptance theory all provide the possibility for the two to be studied as a related whole. The main body of this paper consists of five chapters, introduction and conclusion. The introduction part is based on clarifying the current situation of previous research, and puts forward three deficiencies of relevant research: first, the collection and sorting of historical materials is too much and relatively careless, and there is a lack of scientific and rational research;Second, the political and cultural perspectives are ambiguous and fettered;Third, there are many fragmented studies, few correlation studies and few integrated studies. The first chapter explores and presents the basic form of the rural literary and artistic movement in North China in the 1930 s and 1940 s,and compares the similarities and differences between the two in terms of movement theory, degree of organization and intertextuality of literary and artistic content. On the basis of the foregoing, the second chapter discusses the debate and trend of the rural literary and artistic movement in North China from the three levels of inheritance and creation, popularization and improvement, improvement and revolution, and analyzes the various ambiguous cognitive disputes and implementation anxiety of the rural literary and artistic movement in the entanglement of knowledge discourse, public discourse, traditional discourse and political discourse. The third chapter introduces the New Life Movement of Nanjing National Government as a reference, focuses on the subject and object of the literary and artistic movement, and puts forward and analyzes three kinds of farmers' identity setting of "despised","enlightened" and "mobilized" and three kinds of writers' identity setting of "education type","feeding type" and "kitchen type" and their practical effects. The fourth chapter investigates the inheritance relationship between the rural literary and artistic movement and the new culture movement, and puts forward that the rural literary and artistic movement in Ting Hsien has changed from new culture to new life, and the rural literary and artistic movement in the border area of Shanxi,Chahar and Hebei has changed from new culture to new politics. In different ways, they partially realized the ideal of the pioneers of the May 4th New Culture and made the popularization of literature and art from cry to practice. The fifth chapter takes the main trend of literature and art popularization as the background, and reevaluates the rural literature and art movement from the perspective of reception aesthetics. At the same time,it analyzes the efforts to improve the status of rural literature and art and the possible path of rewriting the history of literature from three aspects: the sinking of writers and artists, the new change of literary category system and the formation of literary classics. The last part looks at the continuation of rural literature and art in North China, the new order and new traces of contemporary rural literature and art,and puts forward that we are still faced with the problem of creating new popular literature and art, that is,creating a kind of peasant literature and art that adapts to the new media and undertakes the function of ideology and culture enlightenment in the face of the era of Rural Revitalization. The full text is committed to: restoring the historical face, making up for the shortcomings of literary history narration, and improving the status of rural literature and art in the mainstream literary history;Explore the connection scheme of rural literature and art history in North China, make up for the shortcomings of their separated writing, and help them form an independent research position;Reveal the laws of literature and art, summarize the operation mechanism of rural literature and art,and better understand and practice the political, people and mass nature of rural literature and art.The core view is: the rural literary and artistic in North China has changed from spontaneous state to organized state since the May 4th Movement. It is the extension of new literature, which makes the popularization of literature and art from ideal to reality, and undertakes the functions of cultural enlightenment and mobilization; The rural literature and art movement in North China in the 1930 s and1940s constituted a strong development clue, which can not be ignored in the ideological trend of new literature;Rural literature and art is a form of cultural sharing embedded in the overall life of farmers. It plays an important role in rural construction. The North China model of rural literature and art movement is the right way for the development of rural literature and art.It is still possible to re-intervene in rural construction in the current historical context.
