The Construction Of Rural Education In Xianghu During The Period Of Republic Of China(1927-1937)

In the process of China's social development,the countryside is the most important component.Education is the key to rural social progress.During the period of the Republic of China,due to the impact of western capitalism,city industrial and commercial economy have a sharp development,government,capital and technology are concentrated in the city,there are more and more big gap between urban and rural areas and frequently social problems in rural areas.China's rural society has been declining and stagnant,rural society and rural farmers have been in a state of struggling.In order to change this situation,people from all walks of life,especially intellectuals,actively give advice and suggestions,and the rural construction movement arises at the historic moment,the rural education construction is the most important part of it.From 1927 to 1937,influenced by the trend of rural construction at that time and the support of the government,rural construction was carried out in Xianghu district.In order to solve the problem of countryside,according to the theory of rural education,the rural construction agency carried out the construction of rural education activities in the area of Xianghu,from the school education and social education,Xianghu improving rural education construction,until the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War in 1937,Xianghu construction work was suspended.This paper attempts to take the rural education construction in Xianghu as the research object and the society of the Republic of China as the background.Through the study of the main rural education institutions and measures,this paper analyzes the final results of the implementation of rural education in Xianghu area.This paper aims to summarize the reasons for the success and failure of these measures,and summarizes the characteristics of education construction in Xianghu,so as to provide some enlightenment for the construction of new countryside.This paper is divided into four parts,the first part briefly introduces the historical background and organizational structure of the construction of rural education in Xianghu.The second part introduces the specific implementation method,characteristics and influence of primary school education in Xianghu.The third part from the aspects of citizen education,livelihood education,health education,explains the method and function of social education in Xianghu,The fourth part reflects and evaluates the rural education activity in Xianghu area,and summarizes the achievements and deficiencies of education in Xianghu.
