Wu Hsiang-hsiang is a famous modern Chinese historian. He was born in Changde, Hunan in 1914, grew up in Changsha, Chu Yi primary and Ming De secondary schools spent youth, engaged in historical research field by Li Jian-nong. In 1932, he was endorsed by Peking University, influenced by Hu Shih, Fu Ssu-nien, Meng Sen, Yao Congwu of research into the history of the late Qing Dynasty. In the historical profession, he first discussed the Beijing coup.After graduating from Peking University, he was employed in the Institute of history and language. The anti-Japanese War broke out, Wu Hsiang-hsiang participated in the Republic of China government forces. After the war, worked in Henan University, Lanzhou University, the National Palace Museum. In1949, Wu Hsiang-hsiang arrives with Taiwan, has been working on the National Taiwan University, Chinese Culture University, Nanyang University of Singapore. In 1975, he went to the United States, in 2007, died in the United States.Wu Hsiang-hsiang written many books, especially biographies of the Republic of China research. So far, the academic community with a summary of the Wu Hsiang-hsiang character study is not systematic and comprehensive. They ignored his phase writings, nor depth analysis of his experiences and academic background. This paper describes the study and summarize the Research on the biographies of The Republic of China of Wu Hsiang-hsiang,it is divided into several areas:In the introduction, explained the significance and status of the Republic of China Wu Hsiang-hsiang biographies, and strictly limited to the study, and then explain clearly used version. The first chapter is set out in detail with Wu’s life experiences and academic process, and strive to clearly show that Wu’s life changes. The second chapter constitutes discrimination withmotivation of the biographies of The Republic of China of Wu Hsiang-hsiang.The third chapter summarizes the characteristics of the Republic of biographies research.
