Issues on the Subject is one of the main topic of western philosophy.Marcuse,as a representative of Frankfurt School and Freudianism Marxism,argued his Subject Theory in a context of inheriting the criticalness of Marxism by using psychoanalysis of Freud and analysing the contemporary situation of human beings.From the aspect of Historical Materialism, this dissertation reviewed the subject theory in the western intellectual history and Marxism Philosophy history and clarified the history of this concept, therefore expounded the subject theory of Marcuse. The Subject Theory of Marcuse is distinguished from that of western tradition. He gave a great concern about the situation of real human beings, which mostly relied on the analysing of psychological status.This dissertation focused on the Subject Theory of Marcuse in a psychoanalysis aspect, pointing out that Marcuse used the psychoanalysis theory of Sigmund Freud as his resource, reinterpreted the rationality of human’s subjectivity by Unconscious Theory and Personality Theory. He argued the substance of human as a subject by replacing Marx’s Practice by Instinct Theory. He also used Marx’s Alienated Labor Theory to the analysing of subject’s living conditions. Finally, Marcuse discussed the possibility of regaining human’s subjectivity along his construction of Subject Theory, and reached the new revolution conclusion called Aesthetic Revolution and Mental Revolution.This dissertation commented on the Subject Theory of Marcuse,in a aspect of critically analyse. Argued that Marcuse expanded on Marx’s Subject Theory and enriched the content of social revolution in a psychoanalysis perspective by putting the subject theory in the modern capitalism society. He focused particularly on the territory of psychology which was thought to be ignored by Marx. However, there is a great propensity of visionary and insurmountable conflicts in his subject theory. Although, his subject theory which is based on personality and the essence of person emphasized the subjunctive of human beings, its strong inclination of Humanism made it deviated from Marxism Philosophy...
