The Research On The Concept Of "Power" In The Early Stage Of Foucault

This dissertation is intended to make a analysis on Foucault’s concept of power" form his thoughts in early stage.the main research method adopts the method of text reading.Mainly analyzed the 60s to 70s of the 20th century in Foucault’s early thought on "power" exploration. We analyze three important the major works:History of Madness,the Birth of Clinic,Discipline and Punish,and so on.This dissertation is divided into four chapters.Taking "power"as the core of this paper.In turn from "the space and the power","the body and the power","the visual and the power","the knowledge and the power"as important dimensions to analyzes. We will make a summary of these four chapters and point out Foucault’s concept of "power" form his thoughts in early stage:Which inner anxiety lead to Foucault think about the power exploration form aspects of the culture,history,society,and people. His thought on power how to expressed a kind of humanistic care? This dissertation argues that Foucault on power issue is out of the situation of the modern history of the depth of anxiety.His research points to the entire modern culture and the survival of the entire modern history of overall modern people.To modern historical situation,he holds with deep compassion and concern.His knowledge of the theory reveals the nature of the so-called power of truth.His theory of power description of the modern people has been mired the picture in"power-knowledge"field can not find a way to come out.Let modern people awoke from the 18th and 19th century rationality, enlightenment and scientific blind optimism.from this perspective, it has a profound practical significance.
