Art Research On Dough Figurine Of Hetao In Inner Mongolia

Dough figurine art, deriving from west area of Hetao, Inner Mongolia, is the folk art combined with agricultural and nomadic culture. The high quality of flour, owing the unique geographical conditions, provides preconditions. Hangjinhouqi, the birthplace of dough figurine, is in the center area of Hetao.Dough figurine, as a folk art carrier, has a deep cultural inside information, and is carrying the mission of inheriting the historical and cultural value. Therefore, I put the paper research direction as the Hetao area study of the dough figurine art. To accomplish this project, first of all, I went back to my hometown-Hetao area, and did the field investigation, deeply. On the basis of field investigation, I organized the framework of the paper. Except the introduction part and the conclusion part, the paper mainly concludes three chapters. The first chapter expresses the background and generating of the dough figurine. For details, the author analyzes the regional location, natural environment, human environment and agricultural development based on the geographical and folk factors. Also, according to the beginning and the incoming course of dough figurine, the influence of the early immigrants to the dough figurine has been studied. Moreover, the author did the field research based on the literature that has been mastered. The second chapter, after analyzing and collecting the survey of the field research, the author explains the aesthetic characteristics of the art based on the dough figuring production techniques and color using. Also, comparing the dough figurine art from other areas is an important study method applying in this paper. The third chapter, the author explores historical value and cultural connotation of the Hetao Dough figurine art according to the level that the government advocates the non-material cultural heritage protection. Furthermore, trying to analysis the Hetao dough figurine forward-looking will be helpful. Finally, the author hopes that more and more people would pay attention to the status of current national intangible cultural heritage and the sustainable development problem through the development of the status quo of Hetao dough so that more and better protections and suggestions can be put forward.
