The Characterization Of Lensky Of Eugen Onegin Lensky

The aria named Kuda,kuda,vy udalilis of Lensky in the opera Yevgeny Onegin is one of the arias which have high artistic value in the operas created by Tchaikovsky.It shows sorrow with beautiful melody, the lyrics are sincere and impressive. The aria gives a full describe of Lensky’s inner world in the opera, this article focus on the description of Lensky’s inner world. We begin from the major character Lensky and do the study on the background and emotion of him. The comparison between the portrays on Lensky of the versions deducted by Ray Mei Scherf, Wunderlich, Gedda and Vargas. According to the experience of the author’s singing, we try to point out the difficult parts on portraying the role of Lensky and offer the method to break through the difficulties. We aimed at helping the vocal music leaners, actors and enthusiasts to understand and grasp the image of Lensky accurately. Last but not least,we hope this article could help the researchers of vocal music to improve the level of singing and acting.
