Religious organizations take responsibilities for helping the poor and saving the weak. After the policy of reform and opening, society began to take quick transformations and meanwhile, social contradictions have been increasingly aggravating with the rapid development of politics, economy and culture. Hence, it is a great need to develop charity and improve social work to solve the actual problems of social life.An old saying goes:Every one of us should be merciful to everything, helping those who are suffering from pains. Buddhism, with the conception of Being Merciful, has been instructing people in the world to show mercy to people around and love them for thousands of years. It is the conception that highly generalizes China’s Buddhism charity participating in social work. With the implementation and practice of policy of freedom of religion belief, China’s Buddhism organizations and Buddhism charity activities are on the way. However, China’s social work is getting off the ground, having a limited assistance on charity.
