The literary and artistic as a special form of human’s self-reflection, naturally it is inseparable from exploring the life and solving problems. To be exactly, the reflecting of the meaning and essence of life is to reveal the original motif of ancient and modern literary and artistic. The writing of the theme of life emphasizes that the write deep concerns individual life and self-worth and the exploration of life itself and the truth of life in his works. The writer who clings to explore life when his works were sentiment and reflect to life, so it must be its own unique life experiences and beliefs which pours into his woks so that it forms their own unique life aesthetics. Shen Congwen and Chi Zijian who are the two distinct existence in Chinese literature and they are different from the ordinary writes who just stay in or satisfy with the appearance of the list of social life. On the contrary, their creations are always try the best to point to a deep state of human life. So their literary ultimately is to deeply explore and mine the meaning and essence for life. In my paper, I attempt to pitch-in the core of the paper from the "life" and use a comparative approach, try to sort out the Shen Congwen and Chi Zijian’s aesthetic consciousness of life, combined with life aesthetics analysis of specific works of two writers in connotation and factors other aspects and differences in order to broaden the horizons of the academic study of Shen Congwen and Chi Zijian’s aesthetic consciousness of life.This thesis mainly compares the similarities and differences between the aesthetic consciousness of Shen Congwen and Chi Zijian in four aspects. The first chapter mainly explore the differences and similarities between the background factors of the life aesthetics consciousness of Chi Zijian and Shen Congwen. From the social background factors, the transformation of modern civilization and it breeds many problems, the two writers see drawbacks in the process of the development of civilization, so they construct own ideal life form through the opposition between rural and urban civilization on this basis. Compared Shen Congwen who lives in the war with Chi Zijian who is in the peace time,the fomer makes harsh criticism to the city civilization. From personal growth experience, what they see the mountains and wate in the childhood and what they experience people and things have become an important factor affecting the two writers. The lack of physical or emotional experience is the vital to prompt the two writers to step in the literary world. But the two different geographical environment in south and the north, and naturally it creates a different cognitions of life of Shen Congwen and Chi Zijian:Shen Congwen begins his writing from the water and give life flexibility and solid feminine "water"; Chi Zijian begins to write from the snow and gives life strong and naive tender "warm". Because of different cultural infiltration and nurtured, it also shows different cultural characteristics about the two writers:Shen Congwen is influenced by Chu Wu pan God cultural. So he pursuits divine life; Chi Zijian is influenced by the northeast black soil culture, and he shows the pursuit of life naive and warm. Growing up along with the experience of all deaths, it makes the two writers have come to realize that the impermanence of life with no grasp. However, facing the brutal killings, Shen Congwen converse them into deep "life mercy", and Chi Zijian’in the face of the death of the father, the widowed,she showed on the death of detached. Poor physical and emotional anxiety,the both forced Shen Congwen to write for a living and ease the anxiety of life and soothe the soul; "Abandoned" in the juvenile and the lost his father and husband in the adult and "love" withdrew and deletion, all these force Chi Zijian to transform the pain into artistic imagination and compensate life regret by creation. But when the two people compensate actual loss through the creation, Shen Congwen focus on his hometown and construct his "dream garden". Chi Zijian pays attention to the description of the virtual world and construct his "realistic fairy tale." The second chapter mainly focuses on the comparison of two people’s similarities and differences on the aesthetic connotations of life, mainly from three aspects of the two people in the pursuit of life essence, life forms, life’s ultimate purport. Shen Congwen will opposite "life" and "life" and endue life love and beauty essence; Depart from the life,Chi Zijian endows life warm and love essence. Shen Congwen sublimates "love" for the pursuit of "beauty", and it points to the "divine"; Chi Zijian stay"love" in the rendering of the consciousness of "fraternity",and it points to the life of secular tenderness. Shen Congwen and Chi Zijian both pursuit rigid and flexible ideal form of life, but the meaning of each shows different pursuit. Shen Congwen is a heroism divine life forms; Chi Zijian is a populist secular warmth life forms. Both Shen Congwen and Chi Zijian regard "nature and humanity’s harmony" as the ultimate goal, they call for nature, healthy and beautiful human nature, harmonious life forms in the work.The third chapter mainly expounds how Shen Congwen and Chi Zijian write life against the death. The words"The chance of life, the necessity of death" can well sum up the thinking of the life meaning when Shen Congwen and Chi Zijian face death. Shen Congwen and Chi Zijian will make life art. Depart from the death, they rummage the pathways beyond the death. Shen Congwen give pure love to death, performing love and beauty in the death, highlighting the divinity of life; Chi Zijian let the reappearance of the soul and construct the life "the three, which indicates life eternity.The fourth chapter compares how Shen Congwen and Chi Zijian taste life in the natural. To affirm the vitality of the natural person, and to deny the soul alienation of the civilized person, these are the common cultural standpoint of Shen Congwen and Chi Zijian. What the difference is that Shen Congwen attempts to integrate the advantages of natural and cultural person so that he creates a full of vitality and rational knowledge perfect personality; Chi Zijian attempts to reject the modern civilization Yin duck, return to nature, to construct an ideal world of "civilized" people. In the face of the primitive religion of nature, Shen Congwen examines religious though artist aesthetic perspective.He notes the reverence for life and praise of beauty in the primitive religious civilization.He desires to replace religion with love and beauty and train Chinese people’s pursuit to the life divine; For the psychology of follower of traditional, Chi Zijian hopes natural religion can save the soul of civilization corrosion so as to compassionate love warm this world by all misery and ugliness.
