This translation project report aims to present the process of a translation project on the original text from Hurting Memories and Beneficial Forgetting. The book got edited by psychological scholars including Michael Linden, Krzysztof Rutkowski, and published in 2013 by Elsevier Science Publishing Co Inc.one of the world largest publishing houses on medical and scientific literature. Chapter4, Chapter11 and Chapter14 are chosen from it as the original text for translation.The book serves as a collection of research findings concerning traumatic memories. It contains different papers with various subjects in which the hidden influence of traumatic memories on individual and society is explored, the potential value of hurting memories on personal growth is discussed and a positive prospective of traumatic experience is encouraged.
