A Translation Project Report Of Sanctions And The Insurance Industry: Challenges And Opportunities(Chapter 1 &2)

This thesis is a translation project report and the original text of this report is chosen from the first two chapters of Sanctions and the Insurance Industry: Challenges and Opportunities written by Matthew Moran in collaboration with Daniel Salisbury. This book is primarily concerned with the economy sanction carried out by some of the regime organizations headed by the United States and the European Union sanctions against Iran’s nuclear program and includes the opportunities and challenges arising from carrying out these measures of sanctions. This report mainly includes four parts: Part one is a brief introduction to the translation project, including the background, purpose and significance of the project; Part two is about the background of the original text, involving information about the authors and analysis of the original text; Part three is the main part of the report because it discusses translation difficulties and methods,such as extension, division and restructuring; Part four is a conclusion which summarizes the experience and lessons gained from this translation practice and points out problems to be solved.
