Upon reviewing the interpreting task and analyzing the problems in the simulation practice, the author presents a summary of the problems, pinpoints the causes and elaborates on solutions to similar problems in future practice. The report is composed of four parts. Chapter One presents a brief introduction of the interpreting task. Chapter Two goes into process description and preparations.Chapter Three illustrates difficulties in the practice from the following aspects: poor listening comprehension, insufficient context analysis and uncoordinated note-taking and memory. Chapter Four elaborates on the solutions to deal with problems such as improving listening comprehension, achieving cohesion and coherence as well as coordinating note-taking and memory in the future.Through the simulated report and problems analysis, the author gets familiar with the styles and features of interview interpretation and finds out some strategies and methods which will be helpful to deal with problems in future practice.
