A Study On Time-adverb Of Qi Lu Deng

There have already been lots of achievements about Chinese time-adverb in the field of linguistics. The achievements of time-adverb in neoteric Chinese times are less than the achievements in Mediaeval times and modern mandarin Chinese time. The end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty is the late development of the neoteric Chinese times. At this stage, novel creation has been very mature, some novel language are easy to understand and close to the oral. As the main research corpus of this paper, “Qi Lu Deng”, which is written by Li Lv Yuan during the eighteenth Century which is the Qian Long period of the Qing Dynasty.We take the time-adverb as the investigation objiect and make the exhaustive investigation for them. Then we descripted and analyzed the grammar phenomenon of time-adverb by classification and quantity, in order to understand as much as possible the time-adverb process of the formation and evolution in the period of early Qing Dynasty.This paper mainly includes the following parts:Chapter one. Introduction. In this part, we explain the cause and significance of the topic,elaborate the current research status of Qi Lu Deng and time- adverb, research methods.Chapter two. The definition and the classification of time. Based on the study of predeeessors, according to the using characteristics of the time-adverb of "Qi Lu Deng " and our own understanding, we state the meaning of the time-adverb,then we divid the time-adverb into three types, such as indicated-time adverb, indicated-frequency adverb, indicated-order adverb.Chapter three to five.We subdivided the three kinds of time-adverbs.Indicated-time adverb can be divided into two types, indicated-tense adverb and indicated-aspect adverb.Indicated-frequency adverb can be divided into four types, high-frequency adverb, intermediate-frequency adverb, low-frequency adverb and alterable-frequency adverb.Indicated-order adverb can be divided into two types, indicated-sequence adverb, indicated-repeat adverb. Regard to each category time-adverbs, we have carried out the statistics and the description of syntactic function. Then we consult reference books and some results which has been analyzed by the way of diachronic to judge the produced time of each adverbs. Then we have comparative analyzed some phenomenon through the statistical data.Chapter six. First of all, we compared the time-adverb of “Qi Lu Deng” with the time- adverb of “Ru Lin Wai Shi”. Then we compared time-adverb of “Qi Lu Deng” with the time-adverb of commonly used modern Chinese. Respectively examined the characteristics of time-adverb of “Qi Lu Deng” from the quantity, structure and usage.Chapter seven. conclusion. Through the description and comparative analysis, we conclude that some characteristics of time-adverb of “Qi Lu Deng”. First, the time-adverbs of disyllable are more than monosyllable time-adverbs in the each category time-adverb, but the using frequency of time-adverbs of monosyllable are higer than. the time-adverbs of disyllable. Second, the trend of the double syllable of time-adverb, most of time-adverbs inherited from Ancient times and Mediaeval times. Third, the development of all kinds of the time-adverb are unbalanced. Fourth, the combination of morphemes of some compound words has not stereotypes.
