The Research Of The Synergetic Between Great Ruins Protection And Urban Development

The great ruins refers to those ancient relics which those have the heritage value, great areas, and very high social value, cultural value and scientific value. They are representative examples of Chinese history and culture, which including the site of the ancient city, the palace, temples, tombs, burial village, and so on. Moreover, they generally cover a large range and have wider influence. With the recent years of our countries rapid urbanization and city expansion extension effect, many of the ruins are covered the growing city area. So, they have to face to the problem which is taken by the development of the city. First, trapped in the restriction policies for the great site protection, the community with these sites will develop restrictively and will be unable to follow the rapid speed of urbanization and development, Secondly, unsuitable transformation of the site and unreasonable constructions surrounding the area will inevitably cause a significant impact on the protection of the site. Qin Dynasty and other great ruins areas in Xian Yang are the examples. With the certain contradiction between these sites and the surrounding villages, the economic development level and the quality of life didn’t development in long-term. At the same time, tens thousands of residents in living in the area are also a potential threat to the site, In order to solve the contradiction between the protection of the great ruins and the city growing, this article set the great ruins in Xian Yang as an example and Palace in Qin and Han Dynasty ruins, nine mausoleum ruins as the case. Through the literature review, case analysis, master planning analysis and questionnaire investigation, I will find how to make coordination for site protection and community development approach, which makes the protection and use of the site profitable to the construction and development of the local community. Furthermore, protection great site and be good from the regional economic growth, sustainable development site protection, then forming the benign cycle area of great site protection and regional development.
