Suzhou Pingtan has its bright characteristic after hundreds of years of development and becomes an independent school.Suzhou Pingtan is known as "Jiangnan flower".Qiaomu Hu wrote "Suzhou Pingtan, Chinese must" to praise Suzhou Pingtan.Dagang Yu,famous Ancient Chinese Literature Search master in Taiwan praised the Suzhou Pingtan as "the most beautiful voice in China".In twenty-first Century, with the rapid development of economy and the development of the external culture and the impact of emerging media, the survival life and cultural environment which Suzhou Pingtan are based on have changed. Economic development, the developed traffic and increasing of the population flow lead to the characteristic of Suzhou dialect gradually regressing. So the protection and development of are entering in endangered status. In 2006, Suzhou Pingtan was included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list. The leaders at all levels pay more attention to the Pingtan, increase more protection of Pingtan. However, Pingtan need to be developed better and alone protection is not enough. The communication of intangible cultural heritage is the dissemination of a dynamic, its’carrier is mainly man-made and the mode of inheritance is mainly the firsthand. With the development of globalization and the continuous development of new media, the traditional way of communication is difficult to adapt to the communication environment, so the intangible cultural heritage is impacted more and more. This paper will take the Pingtan propagation as a reference to explore to find a new communication channel and communication mode of the intangible cultural heritage in today’s society.This paper attempts to start with the perspective of communication, starting from thenon-material cultural heritage, to explore and study the broadcast of Pingtan, and put forward the transmission strategy of the intangible cultural heritage in new period. This paper analyzes the work of Chinese and foreign intangible cultural heritage, and puts forward the key work in the spread of the intangible cultural heritage. Then it summarizes the history and current situation of the development. Once the Pingtan is in fashion in one’s time, but now it is facing the problem of less audience, less Pingtan artists, less venues and lack of a limited number of Pingtan bibliographic. Then, it analyse Pingtan communication environment and communication context of Pingtan in today, it also analyse the communication model and communication methods of Pintan. At the end, it explore the intangible cultural heritage the social communication mode and communication strategy of the intangible cultural heritage.The protection of the Intangible Cultural Heritage relates to the cultural bloodline, the maintenance of the spirit of homes, and the construction of advanced culture. It appeal to comprehensively and profoundly promote traditional Chinese culture.
