Research On Confucian Moral Cultivation Theory Under The Perspective Of Modern Moral Education

Moral cultivation is important way to improve internal quality and shape perfect personality in both ancient and modern times. After twists and turns, the Confucian moral cultivation theory has stretched till now as a whole and rich system, which formed in the transition period of slavery to feudality. Through different historical stages, the Confucian moral cultivation theory holds its basic connotation even through the specific content changes. Today, it’s also playing an irreplaceable role without considering the historical limitations and ideology differences.Based on the perspective of modern moral education, this paper thoroughly discusses the background, connotation and significance of the Confucian moral cultivation theory, and then combines this theory with modern moral education at the theory and practice level. Analyzing its objectives, content, methods, and discussing the application for individual, family, campus and community, this paper aims to dig out the value of the Confucian moral cultivation theory at present.The first and second chapters of this article aim at clearing the logical construction of the Confucian moral cultivation theory and modern moral education. After clarifying their concepts and analyzing the relationship between the two theories, we’ll get the theoretical and realistic basis combining them, which is the feasibility and support of this topic.Having constructed the logic system of the two theories, the third chapter of this article addresses the basic connotation of the Confucian moral cultivation theory. Firstly, this chapter describes its historical background and theoretical basis. Then, it surveys systematically the specific forms of this theory from the aspects of objective, content and method. In short, this chapter is vital as source material for the following research of commentary and application.The forth chapter of this article is the comprehensive evaluation and dialectical thinking based on its connotation. Virtually, sublation is necessary for the application of this theory, and we should analyze its merits and faults fully to conclude the enlightenments. Thus, on the basis of the enlightenments, this chapter provides a direction for the following route research.The last chapter is the foothold of this article, which combines the theory and practice effectively by the connection ways of the Confucian moral cultivation theory and modern moral education. In this article, the route research is divided into the angles of theory and practice. Specifically, in theory, this chapter combines the two from the aspects of objective, content and method; in practice, they’re contacted on the sides of individual, family, campus and community. Certainly, all the above is on the premise of reality. Considering the spirit of the 18th party congress and President Xi Jinping’s speeches about traditional culture, we know that the excellent traditional culture is a source to nurture the socialist core value, therefore, it must be taken into account during the route exploring.
