A Practice Report On Simulated Simultaneous Interpreting Of Indian Prime Minster Singh’s Speech At Central Party School

With the era of information coming, the communication between people and people, state and state has increased quickly. State visit is a very important form of nation to nation communication. The thesis is a practice report based on Indian Prime Minister Singh’s speech at the Central Party School in 2013. It consists of five parts, namely, task description, interpreting preparation, interpreting process, case analysis and conclusion. The task description is mainly about this simulated simultaneous interpreting; interpreting preparation is about the translation of the text and relevant information search, such as new words, proper words, terms and backgrounds; interpreting process is the practice of the simulated simultaneous interpreting; case analysis is about the analysis of the problems which occurred during the practice and the strategies employed to solve the problems, such as: addition, omission, sum-up, speed adjustment; conclusion is about the lessons I have learned in this practice that will benefit my future study and career.
