Self-compassion, as a new perspective of self-view, is important to psychological counselors, and this is realized by researchers. Researchers also have realized its release function for job related pressure such as burnout and compassion fatigue of psychological counselors. This study applies quantitative and qualitative method to test the factors that influences the high level of self-compassion and how they work.This study is divided into two parts.First part applies The Chinese Version of Self-compassion Scale, which was translated and revised by Chen Jian and Yan Liangshi in 2011, to invest among 160 psychological counselors, selecting 38 as participants in part 2 as their score is at the top 27%. The score of the scale ranges from 22.70 to 28.15.Part 2 is conducted among the 38 participants based on the research purpose, the will of the participants with chain sampling and strength sampling. Interviews are used to three of them to investigate the influential factors of high self-compassion.With both parts, the conclusions are as follows:1. The point of penetration in self-compassion is individually different.2. Personal development after internalization of theories influences the level of self-compassion.3. The stretch of their career identity of psychological counselors influences the level of self-compassion.4. Good social relations and interactions influence the level of self-compassion.5. The ripple effect from cases influences the level of self-compassion.6. The need of self-compassion influences the level of self-compassion.7. Good social skills influence the level of self-compassion.
