An important kind of Ancient Turkic people’s cultural heritage is Kurgan stelae. Throughout Central Asia, Mongolia, the Altai area of Russia and western China they left behind large stone figures known as balbals or Kurgan stelae. Dated to the A.D.6th through 8th centuries, they are thought to be memorial erected to honor warrior who had fallen in battle. Almost all face east towards the rising sun. Most hold a sword and a bowl and wear a distinctive belt and earrings. They are often found with lines of stone slab that perhaps represent the number of men killed by person the man stone honors.In this article, we study Turkic Kurgan stelae in Mongolia. The structure and major contents of this article are listed as follows:The section of introduction mainly introduces the basis of topic selection, a research survey of Turkic Kurgan stelae in Mongolia, research approaches, significance of the study, research methods.The first chapter, it is analysis of the distribution and conservation of Turkic Kurgan stelae in Mongolia.The second chapter, it is analysis of purpose and figure of Turkic Kurgan stelae in Mongolia.The third chapter, it is analysis of appearance of Turkic Kurgan stelae in Mongolia.
