The Reserch Of The Usage Of Teaching Materials Of Confucius Institutes (Classroom) In Europe

The textbook compilation is one of the four major aspects of the teaching activities, the embodiment of the overall design and the basis of organization of teacher’s teaching activities and students’ daily learning activities, also the test. It plays an important part in teaching, which has always been the focus in the field of international Chinese language education.Sinology rised earliest in European regions, and these regions are also ones of the regions which have highest enthusiasm in learning Chinese. "Chinese fever" continues to heat up in Europe makes the surge in the number of Chinese learners, corresponding to a higher request of teaching materials, which brings pressure and challenge to the local Confucius institute. Most of the teaching materials which published in mainland are generally universal materials which use English as medium language, but overseas Chinese teaching faces the local languages and national conditions differ in thousands ways, "one size fits all" approach is not appropriate. Hanban/Confucius institute headquarters committed to develop suitable Chinese materials for overseas teaching over the years, the author has carried on the investigation and study to learn what has been achieved so far.This paper compiled the theory basis about teaching evaluation and the development of the materials of Teaching Chinese as Foreign Language, then send questionnaires to the volunteers and teachers in Hanban European project in order to collect the feedback about the materials sent by Hanban, the usage of the teaching materials in Confucius Institutes in Europe and the satisfaction about the materials they use. Then analysis the two textbooks which used in teaching of Confucius Institute of Leiden University. Finally summarize the related Suggestions, looking forward to provide useful information for our domestic compilation of overseas Chinese textbooks.This study has many deficiencies due to the limitation of time, ability and energy. Hope that related topics in future researches can obtain the further development.
