Since Kyrgyzstan's independence in 1991,relations between China and Kyrgyzstan have developed steadily and rapidly.Many Chinese companies have begun developing in Kyrgyzstan,and many companies need to be bilingual in Kyrgyz and Chinese.This is the main reason why Kyrgyzstan has gained interest in the Chinese language.Since the establishment of the world's first Confucius Institute in 2004,the Confucius Institute has grown tremendously over the last decade,and the Kyrgyz Confucius Institute is not an exception.Nowadays,there are four Confucius Institutes in Kyrgyzstan: Confucius Institute at Bishkek Humanities University,Confucius Institute at Kyrgyz National University,Confucius Institute at Osh National University,Confucius Institute at Jalalabad University.Although the Confucius Institutes in Kyrgyzstan universities have achieved good results,there are still many shortcomings.Therefore,this paper mainly focuses on the investigation of “teachers,teaching materials,teaching methods” of Chinese teaching in the Confucius Institute at the Bishkek Humanities University,which was the earliest and has the largest number of students.By conducting an in-depth investigation with the Confucius Institute at Bishkek University of Humanities,it includes the shortage of Chinese teachers,the lack of local teachers,the lack of foreign language ability of Chinese volunteer teachers,the irrational use of teaching methods,the obsolescence of teaching materials,the lack of pertinence,the lack of content and difficulty that do not meet the needs of students,the lack of class hours for listening and speaking,and the simplicity of cultural curriculum forms.Finally,some questions were put forward related to the above situation.The introduction includes research background,research proposal,research review,theoretical basis,research methods,and research ideas.This article mainly describes the current situation of Chinese teaching in the Confucius Institute at Bishkek Humanities University.It expounds on the achievements in Chinese teaching and Chinese cultural communication;elaborates in detail the major problems in the Chinese teaching of the Confucius Institute at the Bishkek Humanities University,including the teaching methods,school curriculum,the use of teaching materials and the status quo of teachers.It also analyzes and researches the problems stated in the above chapters.In the conclusion,we give some suggestions relating to the dissemination of Chinese Language,the promotion of China-Kyrgyz cultural exchanges,and the enhancement of a cordial relationship between China and Kyrgyzstan.
