| With the philosophy thoughts of Chengzhu changing,the development of righteousness category presents different characteristics:definition of a thinker diversifies,the debate between righteousness and benefit has been prominent,connotations of the public,Justice and reason are explicit,the system with mind,reason,science,spirit,and divinity as its core has been constructed,thoughts of Daoism and Buddhism have been absorbed traditional reasoning mode has been transformed into one that of higher level of abstraction,righteousness annotation has been replaced by elucidation,and philosophical research on literal meaning of category appears.Appearing of those new features only reflects the close relationship between category of thoughts and social realistic problems but also shows unique laws of development of Confucian philosophy concepts which can be found though research on righteousness category in Cheng zhu neo-confucianism.In this paper is aimed to return the connotation of righteousness category to its original status from various system constructions through the comparative study of Cheng zhu and chen chun;to comparatively analyze thoughts of thinkers from various schools with the conceptual analysis methods and excavate their modern significance and the new form of philosophy through topics of debate between righteousness and benefit,reason and desire,public and private;to present the richness and multiple possibility of development of righteousness category through research on ethics,history of intellectual thoughts and category analysis of philosophy.The development of righteousness in Song Dynasty is affected by the personality,academic experiences,academic characteristics and knowledge structure of thinkers as well as by conventional factors like politics,economy,religion and culture,etc.Therefore,it is for great significance to distinguish the influence degree and action mode of various factors.Meanwhile,attaching importance to research methods is necessary because Confucian philosophy category research and research methods have been neglected for a long time.This paper integrates concept analysis,paradox analysis,structure research,etc.with literature research,and pays particular attention to the revelation and application of traditional Chinese classification methods.In the aspect of modern explanation of the righteousness category,in addition to the modern interpretation of its ethics connotation,the clear definition of its philosophy connotation and the semantic analysis are of the same importance.The inheritance of the ethical meaning of the righteousness category and the interpretation and argumentation of its meaning in the field of epistemology are two important parts for research,which is to combine ethics and epistemology in the perspective of Confucian philosophy and introduce cognition from virtue,meeting the requirements for developing from traditional to modern concepts.Modern transformation of righteousness category shall firstly be based on the impartial,objective and comprehensive understanding of it,including understandings of its developing material bases,social backgrounds,its historic opportunities and thinking structures;secondly,based on objective evaluation and rational understanding,double vision from historical and modern perspectives shall be integrated to realize the transformation from the traditional to the modern. |
