Integration And Interaction

This thesis attempts to do the "field work" in a particular small community contemporary sculpture factory from the angle of anthropology of art. In the context of Postmodernism, the most prominent feature of the contemporary sculpture factory, is the integration and interaction. The "integration and interaction" which happens in this community is actually the optimal allocation of resources, namely the phenomenon of production spontaneously flows together. This causes two changes:the artisans will give up the the traditional technique, and will develop and create some more appropriate technique for production. With the development of a new porcelain industry chain. the craftsmen get enough time to pay more attention to some non-technical issues such as product profit and the artistic value of the products etc.. Thus this region shows a trend of the artistic life or the life of artistic. At last, this thesis focus on the craftsmen, as well as the field work.
