This article belongs to artistic design theory research, also involves the fine arts content. This article attempts to use modern history, sociology, image, cultural anthropology, folklore, culture geography research methods to explore the "Calendar picture" as a kind of advertising and cultural phenomenon in the process of flow in the regional culture, Chinese and western cultural exchange plays a huge role and significance, and try to take "Calendar picture" as the template, it can draw lessons from the development of the experience for the innovation of traditional culture and foreign culture localization.The main contents and views include the following:First, by means of modern history to comb the time, space and history of "Calendar picture", tries to reveal the capitalist business prosperous, studying tidal rise, such as social factors impact to produce, flourish and development of "Calendar picture". Second, from the Angle of the "Calendar picture" is a practical art, which explores the reform of traditional folk woodcut New Year pictures, traditional Chinese painting, western painting art, photography and other factors on the influence of construction of "Calendar picture" image language, as one of the forms for advertising, in modern times, the development of advertising is the picture of "Calendar picture" language form and transformation of the intrinsic factor.
