| Similar to other types of drawing, Chinese style oil printing has undergone a period of complicated and prolonged development. Chinese oil painting has developed its characteristics in different aspects over decades of development. This was shown in its’ topics, ways of expression and values. Chinese oil painting was unique and its’ diversify was further enhanced throughout the 20 th century. Nowadays, Chinese oil painting has achieved a very high standard in the world. Among those outstanding artists, Bai Yuping is a classical and gifted contemporary artist. Bai Yuping was working hard to explore the beauty of nature and is trying to bring this beauty into his artwork. His art pieces always bring a sense of freshness to the audiences. The deeper expression of his artwork is inevitable. His positive attitude towards life and his passion to his hometown was fully shown in his art pieces, leading another level of culture and social reflections.This article firstly analysis the development of Chinese oil printing. Then further studies were taken on Mr. Bai Yuping and his different style of art pieces over different period of time. The localization of Bai Yuping ’s scenery artworks has reflected certain social values over decades. His creative ideas have changes substantially in different levels. To a certain extent, his style has changed from solid to abstract, from reality to unreality and from materialism to spiritual. All these changes were due to his consistent and his passion to the hometown.This part was mainly focus on Bai Yuping ’s scenery art pieces, it’s color and signs. A comparison between Bai Yuping and other contemporary artists was held to further investigate the socialization and social values.Critics, analysis and evaluation were used to study Bai Yuping‘s art pieces and its’ localization, leading his style towards simplication. My creative way of thinking was beneficial through this kind of investigation and studies. |
