Activation is an important concept in Cognitive Energy Model. In this study, we use group study method to let ADHD to do the perceptual judgement task under different activation levels. So we can better understand how the stage and level affect the performance of ADHD.This study comprises three experiments. Experiment 1 is a single factor experimental design to explore in five different activation levels, the performance of ADHD in task execution. The results is that under 2s intervals,ADHD do the worst task completion, while 4s is the best time intervals. Experiment 2 is based on experiment to explore under 2s intervals, how is the performance of ADHD in the phase of encoding maintenance. The result shows that there is significant differences between ADHD and normal children. Experiment 3 explore the performance in the reaction maintenance phase. The result shows there has significant difference between the two groups.According to the experimental results, the conclusions of this study are as followings: 1) ADHD children have defects in activation. 2) In encoding maintenance phase, ADHD do the best performance under high level activation. While in action maintenance phase, ADHD do best under low level activation. 3) In different activation levels, the task completion of ADHD is also different.
