The second generation of cognition revolution emerges the embodied research be the hot spot. The embodied cognition believes that the body is very important to the cognitive activity. Body not only related to the inputs and outputs of external stimuli, and is involved in the process of stimuli information processing, storage and retrieval. The view of emotion embody can be trace back to the peripheral theory of emotions proposed by James(1884)and Lange(1885).This theory demonstrates that emotion is the perception of the physical changes. Peripheral theory of emotion profoundly exposed the close links between body and emotion for the first time. It has a wealth of emotion embodied thinking. The view of emotion embody believes that the mechanisms of the perception of other’s emotion and somebody’s own emotion are the same. The caused physical changes are consistent too. Researchers have a long history studying brain lateralization of the emotional face. They made many models for brain lateralization. One of the most widely used is right brain model and efficiency model. The emotional brain lateralization researches at home are quite a lot, however so far we don’t have a research based on the background of the emotional brain lateralization. This study combined the embodied cognition and emotional brain lateralization, willing to explore the process of lateralization emotional faces under different embodied ways.Study 1 mainly discovered the control of face. Stimulating the positive embody of smile by biting pen and the negative embody of mock frown and pout by containing pen. Then analysis the correct number of response and the identify time of different types of emotions appearing on both sides(happy and sad).Study 2 achieve the purpose of embodied by controlling the temperature(low temperature and high temperature) to analysis the correct number of response and the identify time of different types of emotions appearing on both sides(happy and sad).Research findings:1. Regardless of whether they have embodied operation, the time of subjects identifying happy faces is shorter than sad faces, which indicating that people are more close to positive mood, more sensitive about positive emotions.2. Whether it is under face controlling or temperature embodied conditions, the main effect of position is significant. The reaction time of emotional faces appearing in the left side is significantly less than the faces appearing in the right side. It suggests that the brain processes more efficiently when the emotional faces appearing in the right side.3. Under the face controlling conditions, positive faces controlling can promote the identification of positive moods and have no effects of negative emotion recognition. Negative faces controlling and promote the identification of negative moods and have no effects of positive emotion recognition. It suggests face controlling technologies have embodied effects on emotion recognition.4. Under low room temperature(12-14℃), the reaction time of emotional faces is significantly shorter than under high room temperature(22-24℃). Compared with high temperature, subjects under low temperature have higher efficiency for emotion recognition, have faster processing of emotion.5. According to the results of study 1 and study 2, the reaction time of subjects identifying emotional faces has significant differences. There is no significant differences in the number of correct response, indicating that the indicator of recognition reaction time is more sensitive.
