A few years ago, co-productions are still frozen nouns living in people’s memory.Accompanied with increasing quantity, co-productions gradually become projects investors compete for and become the important way of cultural communication between countries.Since 2012,China and the USA has reached an agreement of WTO memorandum of understanding. Also they have entered into the age of co-production. The number of co-productions of China and the USA is rising steadily and the cooperation modes turn to diversified development. From shallow level of providing scene and labor services to cooperation of capital,technology,idea and so on. We can say the age of co-production is in the rise of industrial development. In this age, ‘China special feed’ of Hollywood appears.Since ‘iron man 3’ released in China in May 2012,‘China special feed’ has started fighting for Chinese box office takings also with 3D form. But as a new business model to make profit,after 2014,‘China special feed’ fade out of the sight of people gradually.The reason of appearance of ‘China special feed’ in the age of co-production is growing mainland film consumption market. Most audience are obsessed with Hollywood blockbuster. Although Hollywood has culture demands on Chinese film market, the reason to expand market and profit with various marketing ways is still important. In a word,pursuit of commercial interests is the most fundamental reason of creating ‘China special feed’. Because of obvious commercial purposes and simple art handing,‘China special feed’ hasn’t satisfied requirements of mainland audience with huge economic interests in the short term. After audience detect problems,pressures from many aspects make this marketing way plummet and disappear finally. Although there’s nothing special to research on this brief phenomenon,it’s meaningful to discuss on the way of cooperation between China and the USA after analyzing the reason of the disappearance of ‘China special feed’.Satisfying audience’s requirements is the primary goal of mature film operation mode.‘China special feed’ is bound to be abandoned with the deepening of cooperation as an uni-deal plug-in. The future cooperation between two countries need to break roughforms and pursue deeper ones. As a result, Hollywood must fully understand viewing mentality and demands of Chinese audience. Nowadays, the opportunities exist in following things: establishment of accurate platform, diversified cooperation of private capital,broad consensus of investors and so on. In the future, the cooperation between China and the USA need to pay attention to finding culture differences and achieve international cooperation on scripts, shooting,making,advertising and so on to promote the common economic and social benefits,finally greet the arrival of new age.
