Listening, speaking, reading and writing are the four basic skills when learn a second language. In the process of teaching Chinese as a second language, writing skill is generally considered the most difficult to master and the most difficult to improve. In order to improve the efficiency of teaching in the writing class, the paper investigated the writing course and the presence of foreign students in the writing process, analyzed the results of practical difficulties in teaching writing courses in senior classes, and made recommendations for improvement.In this paper, the first chapter, it explains the background and results of previous studies and the object of this paper is to determine the senior class writing teaching situation. Secondly the purpose of the paper is to identify students writing skills reasons for the slow progress and propose specific teaching suggestions by analysising the situation through the teaching and learning situation. At last, this article described the research methods and explained the origin of the corpus of this article. The main research method used in this paper included literature research, interviews, questionnaires, and text analysis, corpus mainly from students’ daily writing and essay exams.The second chapter mainly introduces the situation about advanced classes writing course. Through checking the Syllabus, this paper makes it clear the objective senior class students should attain in writing. By studying writing course curriculum, textbooks and teaching methods, it introduced the basic situation of the advanced writing class.Through classroom observation and analysis of student work, it analyzes the effect of teaching and writing problems in advanced classes.The third chapter analyzes the questionnaire of senior class students about writing class. Questionnaire is made up of the question of motivation, satisfaction, difficulties in learning, extracurricular usage and so on. The survey shows that students eager to learn writing, but they do not be satisfied with the situation of learning, while it is very slowly to improve writing skills. A common problem in the learning is that students are unable to meet the needs of expressing themselves, while the using of extracurricular writing skills is not so frequent. So students who wish to increase the amount of training of writing hope the teachers to improve writing course whit fun, and provide guidance on learning methods for them.The fourth chapter discussed the practical difficulties faced in the teaching of writing with "product approach"from writing accumulation, output and feedback. As for lack of language accumulation, senior class students can not meet the needs of expressing themselves in writing. Facing so many difficulties in the Chinese writing process, the students only have a very limited amount of writing output, so that the problems in writing can not get timely feedback and writing skills can not be effectively improved.The fifth chapter, it puts forward the corresponding teaching suggestions for real problems of "product approach" in the teaching of writing. The suggestions are that teachers and students in the writing process of learning should changing concepts to improve writing by degrees with accumulation. Teachers should pay attention to stimulate students’ interest in writing through a variety of ways, and help students to building confidence. Also, teachers should pay attention to the relationship between curricular, extra-curricular and Different class, and help students to strengthen accumulation of Chinese.The sixth chapter concludes the paper and points out the problems and shortcomings.
