| Known as the “Genius”and “Lebanese literary pride”,the Lebanese- American writer Gibran’s prose poetry hide deep philosophical connotation under the gorgeous bright coat and free style of language.the philosophical connotations either hide themselves dispersedly in various parts of the lines of the expressions, or they completely hide themselves behind the stories intending to interpret them which are similar to fable stories.we can clearly feel the presence of the philosophical content’s profound charm regardless of the manners in which they were showed out.So this article attempts to expound the presence status and the significance of the philosophy connotation in Gibran’s prose poetry from three aspects,they are respectively the philosophical proposition of the phenomenon and essence,the struggle and unity,the reasons and results.In addition to the introduction and conclusion of this article,it consists of three chapters. The introduction at first introduces Gibran briefly from three aspects:the life of Gibran,Gibran’s literary creation and the formation of philosophical tendencies in Gibran’s prose poem.Followed by combing the research summary about Gibran.lastly mentions the innovation and the writing perspective of this paper.The first chapter outlines the specific explanation of the philosophical proposition phenomenon and essence made by Gibran’s prose poems from two aspects.they are the essence of the “shell” and “nuclear”and the essence of the two opposite.The second chapter selects five groups of opposite images in Gibran’s prose poems to illustrate the figurative interpretation of the philosophical proposition struggle and identity.The third chapter summaries from two aspects of the phenomenon of people unconsciously uses the philosophical proposition of reason and result in their life and the answers made by Gibran’s prose poems about the consequence of Misquotations will lead to.On the basis of summing up,the conclusion points out the significance of this paper. |
