Louis Althusser is a western philosopher, he has a deep research of Marxism. He devoted himself to a new interpretation of Marx’s theory. Althusser is more famous in France. His philosophy research involved in the field is relatively broad, including not only the interpretation of traditional western philosophy, but also for the understanding of modern western philosophy and Marxist philosophy. He also insisted on his own unique insights. “Epistemological rupture” is proposed by Althusser in the process of structural interpretation of Marxist philosophy at first. He tried to clarify and defend the Marx’s thought by this understanding, making it not suffer from the bourgeois ideology and against corrosion. The distinct ideological exists in the “epistemological rupture” about Marx, early Marx’s theory is humanitarian, but late idea is the theory of historical Materialism. They are completely antithetical. This idea provides a new perspective for traditional Marxist philosophy research. But, there is a partial idea of “epistemological rupture”, the continuity between the young Marx and Marxist ideology has been completely broken. This article elaborates the time background of “fracture theory”, the source of thought and main content, rethinking and combing Marx thought process. This article attempts to find the basis of dividing “fracture”, analyses the distinction between the ideology and scientific. Contact with reality, affirming the positive significance in the theory of fracture and also deeply pondering the limitations. This article seeks to play a role in the process of promoting Marx’s thought development on the historical research and theoretical study.
