This paper takes life-cycle servant in early modern England for the study range from the 16 th century to the front of the industrial revolution. By the research of the facts of this group and analysis of the data, concluding that life-cycle servant were universal existence in the early modern British and they influenced the change of families and the British social. The article includes three parts:introduction, body and conclusion,and main body parts including:The first chapter describes the conduct of the life-cycle servant.The family education tradition in medieval, social, economic and cultural politics have changed dramatically, especially the development of the social contract relationships. Production and living of all classes are also need such a group.The second chapter is the key, discussing the general situation of the life-cycle servant. Mainly from five aspects, including the definition, source and quantity, age and gender, daily life and problem as well as the identity and status.The third chapter focusing on the effect of life-cycle servant. By the preceding discussion, it is easy to see that the rise of the life-cycle servant is not only the needs the development but also affecting on individual, family relationships, family structure, social patterns, social transformation.The forth chapter describes the decline of life-cycle servant. Life-cycle servant as a special social group, it’s decline is a historically inevitable. With the emergence of the industrial revolution a large number of young people went to the factories and went to school, as well as the transformation of family function,life-cycle servant gradually disappear in British.
