In the 1990 s, the theory of gender has entered the Chinese scholar’s vision gradually. The gender theory have a significant effective on music and dance study.We can through it to finding the interaction between the music of culture and the body of the society.one part. the sound and behavior in musical activities provided a "stage” for the gender, on the other. Gender become a unique window of the exploration of folk music about the changes in the division of roles, social status and cultural heritage. The Sacrificial Ceremony of AZhe in Yun Nan Tao Wa village is special. The Man and the woman whoes take part in the worship together. Through this case On the one hand is good for us to understand the AZhe’s music and dance culture, On the other hand It help us to explore the gender research in Chinese minority music and dance.The paper mainly consists of introduction, body and conclusion. The introduction is to review the gender theory and AZhe’s study in the past.The text of the article includes four chapters. Chapter One is describe the history about the sacrificial ceremony and to give a oversentation to the scarificial’s program and content. Chapter Two is about the sacred music and dance, such as the structure, performance and performer. Chapter There is based on the chapter two, to find the different in the Man and woman’s music and dance.The last chapter is to explain the reasons for gender differences and the functionality of thisdifferences.There are several conclusion about this study, Fristly, The Sacrificial Ceremony of AZhe is help for maintenance of the social order between the Man and woman. The division, performance ways and the text in music and dance what reflect the interactive relationship between the gender. Secondly, the relationship is change by the times. It builted by the human’s right. So gender is a special and effective perspective for us to research the minority music and dance in China.
