It is the task of teaching students how to extract information from linguistic factors, understanding the information. To improve their listening ability for the development of the ability of other students, such as reading, writing ability to play a promoting role. Listening is the important way and means of communication. People in their daily work, study and life, there are more than four information is obtained through listening. Listening in English communication is always very important factors, which directly affects the expression of a person’s level of exchange. Because of this, English listening teaching has been widespread concern in the academic circles and educational circles, has become a major research topic in a force to be reckoned with.This paper pays attention to the investigation and analysis, in the survey based on combined with teaching practice and students’ practical, with scientific theory as a guide, grasp the principles and methods of English listening teaching, and through a combination of theoretical research and empirical research to resolve the practical problems. The survey found that in Higher Vocational English listening teaching exists many problems, on a clear understanding of the goal of English listening learning; learning is passive; learning motivation utilitarian; lack of effective learning strategies of English listening; the basis of the original hearing is weak. In order to further enhance the scientific nature of the Vocational College English listening teaching and research, this paper combines the listening teaching situation and theory research results, an in-depth analysis of the main causes of the problem:the school, by the negative impact of examination oriented education, investment of Public English listening teaching not enough, English Listening teaching resources is not rich; the quality of teachers, the teaching of listening is not high, teaching on listening teaching arrangement is not reasonable. Student respect existence psychogenic disorder. In this paper and the experimental teaching reform of Higher Vocational English listening analysis, English listening teaching network platform and resource library construction, teaching and educating people simultaneously; to generate communication method selection training material, the implementation of teaching students in accordance with their aptitude; to help students to establish a correct understanding, cultivate interest in English Listening to clear away listening teaching barriers, efforts to improve the English expression and communication skills. The experimental effect, significantly improves the students’ listening level. Finally, this paper has put forward suggestion to solve the problems of listening teaching countermeasures are as follows:change teaching concepts and roles, the creation of English Listening Teaching in cross cultural context, the language of English listening teaching optimization and implementation of hierarchical teaching of English listening comprehension and implementation process of learning and selective examination.
