Time-adverb of Chinese is a class which is complicated and difficult to master. This have been caused more difficulties for the foreign learners who study Chinese as a second language. There are not many articals about acquisition from the perspective of input frequency adverbs. However, the relationship between input and acquisition is a key area ofresearch in second language acquisition. This paper attempts to explore the range of time-adverd acquisition from frequency point of view.We attempt to take advantage of HSK dynamic composition corpus and Peking university Chinese corpus as research material, choose English speaking learners as research object, adopt the quantitative and the qualitative analysis method, mainly studies the 11 Common rules of frequency adverbs acquisition, such as "yizhi", "shizhong", "yongyuan", "conglai", "yiguan", "yixiang", "lilai", "xianglai", "zanqie", "guqie", "zan". We examine the reasons for frequency differences, revealing the multipul factors affecting the acquisition order. We also points out its enlightenment to teaching and research, to further advance reaserch of frequency adverbs in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Also to circumvent the policy rationable, from the perpective of learning and writing Chinese characters explores the range of adverbs of handwriting difficulty to influence the acquisition order. This paper includes six chapters.Chapter One not only gives an overview of current researches into the order of adverbs acquisition, but also points out the shortcomings of studies up to now. The possibilities of the order of adverbs acquisition are explored in depth from the perspectives of error rate, output rate and grammaticalization, besides, the corresponding research methods and survey respondents are also offered.Chapter Two draws a conclusion about the order of adverbs of time from the perspective of word frequency: the long-duration adverbs and propositional adverbs are more frequently used than the short-duration adverbs and descriptive adverbs. Meanwhile, the reasons why long-duration adverbs are more frequently used than short-duration adverbs are discussed from the perspectives of tenses, voices and forms. The long-duration adverbs are mainly "yizhi", "shizhong", "yongyuan", "conglai", "yiguan", "yixiang", "lilai" and "xianglai", but the short-duration adverbs are "guqie", "zanqie" and "qie".In the Chapter Three, the reasons why the duration adverbs are used differently are discussed from semantics, syntax and the grammar error of foreign students. And in the Chapter Four, the errors of foreign students are classified into four types: missing, mis-adding, mis-order and misuse based on the studies of the materials about adverbs in HSK dynamic composition corpus. Except for systematical classification of the duration adverbs, the low output rate is also pointed out.Chapter Five offers constructive suggestions in arranging materials of duration adverbs in the textbook for teaching Chinese as a second language and teaching duration adverbs.Chapter Six summarizes the shinning points and the weak points of this paper.
