Sorting and digging the pre-Qin logic is the result of being affected by Western Learning, also is the requirement of the development of Chinese logic. After Western Learning, the western logic gradually came into Chinese philosophy and sparked argument whether there is some logic in China, at this time the establishment of the local Chinese logic was confirmed in detail by digging the Mohist school theory especially Mohist Reasoning theory from Chinese early thinkers’Yan Fu, Hu Shi, Liang Qichao and so on. Logic is closely linked with cognition, also reflects our culture. As logic, Aristotelian logical theory and Mohist logic theory have common characteristics, and also have individual differences:the core of syllogism is obtained by judging proposition true or false, and the core of the logical principle constituted by Yuan, Xiao, Pi, Mou and Tui lies in the effectiveness and practicability of the reasoning. Different logical tasks and objectives constitute the different development trend of logic. Obviously, Aristotle’s syllogism has a strong vitality in medieval scholastic philosophy and modern western philosophy and science, in contrast, Mohist school in Qin and Han dynasties had disappeared early in the history. Therefore, the excavation and redefinition on ancient China Logic is necessary. Not only is it a reflection of the fundamental differences between Chinese and western philosophy, but also it supports we continue to research and develop Chinese logic through excavation of the Mohist school logic. To understand and grasp the different rules, causes, effects and theoretical structure of logic development in China and the West can give us reference and help in reinterpreting Chinese culture.
