Semantic And Rhetoric Analysis Of The Color Word "Water" And Words Including "Water"

Proceeding from semantic and theorical point of view,this paper analyzes the word "water",semantic characteristics of "water"-forward words and expressions as well as the rhetorical constitution of the semantic meanings,which is followed by interrelationship of "water"’s image and connoted Confusionism.Talking "water" as its research objiet,through semantic analysis of "water" and "water"-constructed linguistic forms,this paper starts with generalization and classification of "water"connotations and expores into their interconnection as well as modes of evolement.Since "water" and "water" constructed linguistic forms’ theoricalicanze is achieved through metaphor and metonymy,this paper adopts forms of graphs to present the moumenon vs metaphor objects and nouenon vs metony objects,so as to reveal the generating process of each and every linguistic form.At the end of this dissertation,"water" image in Confusionism is shown from a philosophical stand,and a conclusion that there’s a close connection between Chinese words’seuantic generation and rhetonic,and rhetonic is applied as one of the crucial ways of semantic evolvement is given.
