The Ming Dynasty was a prosperous period of popular culture which obtainedsufficient development. Fiction, drama and other popular literature had a vigorousdevelopment just as the bamboo shoots after a spring rain. As a famous dramatist playwrightin late Ming Dynasty, Tu Long left a very rich vastness, including poems, CI, Qu, Fu, Paperand other literary themes, almost including all of the literary forms. In addition to lost works,Tu Long’s three drama works were preserved:"Tanhua","Caihao" and "Xiuwen", generalname "Feng Yi Ge Yue Fu". Tu Long is a literary generalists, especially his theatrical life richand colorful, he traveled to the well-known mountains and rivers of motherland, makingacquaintance with friends of every hue for each field of the society. In his later life, he tookhis main efforts to create operas, and actively carry out their own thoughts and ideas aboutBuddhism, Taoism and unified. The thought structure in Tu Long’s drama, rich and colorful,perfect plot fresh language is beautiful and charming, especially the characters, lively,vivid,and colorful, has the value of very high readability. His life story has been recorded in theannals of local history, as well as the "Ming" neutral.This paper mainly discusses Tu Long opera. We use the text research as the center,combined with the background and social reality of late Ming dynasty, to study valueconnotation of Tu Long drama and art method by employing statistical analysis andclassification, which aims to study the literary and historical value of "Feng Yi Ge Yue Fu".This paper can be divided into four chapters. The first chapter states the significance andvalue of this paper, then reviews and summarizes the research achievements about Tu Longacademic and important documents. The second chapter from his background, contact areasto explore Tu Long’s rich and colorful theatrical life. The third chapter discusses Tu Long’sdrama theme, content, character and theme. The fourth chapter focuses on the analysis ofaesthetic characteristics of Tu Long drama works, and points out useful reference and inspiration for the future opera creation.
