Gabriel Faure (1845-1924) was one of the most significant impact French composers inthe19th century. He created many, covering almost all types of music such as the piano,opera, vocal divertimento, theatre and Music Orchestra.Piano is one of the most importantareas of Faure‘s creativity fields. His piano works include the thirteen Nocturnes, thirteenBarcarolle, Sicilienne Op.78, four Valses Caprices, Dolly suite op.56, six Impromptus,musical comedy "Apres une Reve"Op.7-1and so on. Faure‘s piano works with beautifulmelody, harmony rich colors. This paper studies the piano creation that one of the mostimportant areas-Nocturne. Faure’s made thirteen nocturnes over his lifetime.
