Tang poetry is a literary treasure of China, proud and representatives of world literature, but also a bright pearl in the world literature. The aesthetic value of Tang poetry has great aesthetic and historical value, The image can be defined as the union of subjective cordiality and objective physicality. Different image selection will reflect the main different aesthetic interest and different aesthetic feelings. As a natural object, after numerous experience the original ancestors first, the landscape gradually accumulated as a national cultural psychology, the original image of national aesthetic psychology, aesthetic experience and taste.Rooted in the deep memory, the "unconscious" form has countless presented to the future daily life especially literature the work repeatedly.With the common experience of common people, the image shape the national aesthetic quality and strengthening national culture psychology.This paper uses the image theory in classical poetry, combines the poetic theory and poetry, from the perspective of poetic images, systematically analyse mountains and rivers in the Northwest Frontier Poems of the Tang Dynasty, explore the image’s rich connotation and the deep implication image outside image, with the history and cultureof the northwest region in the Tang Dynasty, customs, geography, climate change, ecological conditions and so on.
