Relationship between humans and nature, are facing the mankind in the world and it must be given as soon as the basic solution to the basic problem. Today social, as human by rely on basic survival of ecological system system was constantly of damaged, air pollution, and water pollution, environment problem also increasingly serious, human also began constantly sober of realized, ecological system of imbalances and environmental pollution has into world human common of challenges, to solution the problem just relies on legal, and economic, and hi-tech, means is far enough of, improve human of environment consciousness while put ethics faith is critical of. Humans from the point of view of value right location in heart of nature, between man and nature, establishes a new relationship between the moral feelings, humans can be issued from the deep love and respect for nature; only on the basis of such respect and love, threaten the survival of humans and even the earth itself the environmental crisis and ecological imbalances can be resolved fundamentally. Holmes Rolston is the father of environmental ethics, a lifelong Honorary Professor of the Colorado State University Department of Philosophy, this thesis is aimed to interpret Ralston’s writing "environmental ethics", and then analyze main points, status and summarize the writings in details. This thesis is divided into six parts, the first chapter is the introduction that introduces the purpose and significance of this study, as well as research at present; the second chapter introduces knowledge background of Rolston; the third chapter is a conclusion of the evaluation of the natural environment proposed by Rolston;.the fourth chapter introduces Ralston’s natural theory of value; fifth chapter is introduced Rolston’s environmental ethics; the sixth chapter is the part of conclusion that introduces status and modern sense of the history of ideas of Rolston’s environmental ethics.
