In recent years, more and more children’s literature works have been translated into Chinese. Relevant researches, however, are quite limited. This research is a comparative study of the two Chinese translations of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, children’s literature work. The purpose of this research is to compare the Chinese translations in the following dimensions:1. General descriptive figures;2. Register;3. The changes of the main character. This research will adopt both quantitative and descriptive methods. The former is realized through a corpus developed by the author, followed by statistics extracting. The second method is done through examples.Findings of this research are:1. Both versions use more difficult language than the original version. The Lin version’s language is more difficult than the Yin version’s, the latter more readable for young children.2. As to the change of the main character, compared with Lin’s version, the Yin versions’ character seems to be closer to the original, but not as typical as the original.
