Translation and interpretation are important communication ways in the world, especially interpretation. Different interpretation tasks bring different problems tointerpreters. Along with the further development of Chinese economy and thecontinuous deepening of the cultural and technical communication among differentcountries, the number of conferences held in the form of forum is increasing. Manyspeeches in forum are made by leaders who always choose formal terms containingmany industry-specific terminologies. Therefore, it is easy for the interpreters to fallinto mental tension, mishandle special terms and have information loss. This thesis is a simulated CI retrospective report. The material of this simulatedreport comes from a speech made by a leader in the Northeast Asia LogisticsCooperative Development Forum. The author implements the simulated CI by beingthe interpreter for the person invited to repeat the speech of the leader, and then makesanalysis on the problems occurring during the simulated CI process and providessome solutions. The focus of the thesis is the three problems which often occurred during theSimulated CI, including mental tension, special terms and information loss. In thisthesis, the author gives introduction, analysis and attempts to bring solutions to thethree problems mentioned above.Through the retrospective reflection of the simulated CI process of this forum, the author hopes to provide some advisory suggestions to other interpreters.
