Compare is a method frequently used to analyze and judge objects. It exists asgrammatical phenomena and rhetorical figures in various ethnic languages, as well asMongolian.Comparative sentence is one of the frequent use in Chinese andMongolian, and a language learning difficult point of Mongolian student.This papermainly studied the comparative construction in both Chinese and Mongolian, figuredout the difference and similarities, provided help for student learning and translationwork.Firstly, on the basis of previous studies, this paper briefly analyzed Chinesecomparative sentence, and corresponding sentence types “Y—”in Mongolian.Basic sentence of comparative construction mainly consists of former and lattercompare item, the comparison results and comparing marks, in this article, formercompare item is represented by X, latter compare items is by Y and the comparisonresult by W. The comparative construction type in Chinese is “x+bi+y+w”, X+Y—+W in Mongolian.Thispaper accomplished thebrief analysis ofbothlanguages incompare items, the comparison point, comparison result, comparison mark, sentenceadverbs, and negative forms.The main part of this paper is detailed comparison of compare constructions inboth language Chinese and Mongolian. The Chinese and Mongolian comparesentences consist of four aspects as former and latter compare items, comparisonpoint, comparison result and comparison marks. This paper explained and analyzedby comparison of compare items, comparison point, comparison result, position ofcomparison mark, adverb and negative form in Chinese and Mongolian.As a result,comparing Chinese and Mongolian, there are plenty differences in compare itemsconstitution, appearance of comparison point, comparison result constitution, position of comparison point, use of adverb and negative form. These existing differencesbetween the two languages make difficulties for Mongolian students in learning andusually mistakes of such sentences application, this article hopes to help studentslearn and use.Although this article on Chinese and Mongolian comparative sentences getscomparative analysis of lattice structure, some details is still not been able to carryout in-depth analysis, but we believe this foundational process of comparativeanalysis sets up links between the two languages.
