The Study On The Chuang-Tzu’s Aesthetic Ideology Of The "ugly"

Chuang-Tzu is a legend, whose books have been also regarded as"the first masterpieces in the world". The dissertationintends to explore the reason why aesthetic ideology of the "ugly"generated from the perspective of both internal and external:"theexcruciation" in a disordered war era and "happy excursion" in theoutside world in order to restore this oriental philosopher true uglinessfavor. "Ugliness" described by Chuang-Tzu has a unique gesture.Beginning with "parade and introduction of all ugliness", the dissertationoutlines the forms of the ugliness and Divides them into two big groups:"Grotesques"and "San Mu"."Dao" is the core category in the philosophyof Chuang-Tzu and the starting point and destination of studying all theproblems.The ultimate goal of research on the ugliness is also to achieve"Dao".Starting from his philosophy,in the contemplation way of naturalessence and "the Equality of things"of the "Dao", Chuang-Tzu study theaesthetic characters of "Grotesques"and "San Mu" in a deep level,such asGrotesques’s unique concept of life and death and the pursuit of virtue "Pursuit of virtue and ignorance of appearance"、"No chuckle to life andno annoying to death"and San Mu’s "uselessness is useful"、"uselessnessmay not be usefull"and "uselessness is beauty".Studying Chuang-Tzu’s aesthetic ideology of the "ugly" is notconcerning ugliness itself but the enlightenment of the thinking aura itfeflects.The wisdom of the theory and the thought resources contained inChuang-Tzu and the critical thinking and inclusive of it are peculiarlandscape in Chuang-Tzu’s aesthetic and have Enlightening significancefor us.
